it all depends on what you into. if you like bass then you can buy 12 inch subs. but usually if u go to a car audio place they have a bunch of stuff but it gets expensive i spent 400 on just speakers alone and my sub it wort 400 and my amp is about 300

depends on what you want ? if your just going to settle with whatever you can get for 3to5 bill's then you might not like the end results , best off getting a setup from alpine or Jl audio if you want entry level sounds that hit hard and stay crystal clear , for alot of bass you need more money like 400 for each item , like amp, and sub
your best bet get two jl audio 10w2's this will run about 200 with a box then your going to need a 600 watt amp , now the reason for that is thats what the sub's require so whatever sub you go with will have a recommend rms wattage just match that when buying an amp you dont buy a sub that need's 1000watts rms and get a 200watt amp thats about it , there is alot to know about subwoofers like wattage and ohm's just match your sub with an amp according to ohm load and rms wattage ,

best brands in car audio , RE AUDIO , FI BTL and ORION HCCA for sub's now for amps hifonics , sundown, and orion

brands you should get JL audio or alpine there your best bet as for price and what your looking for
