I need help. So one day I went to go put my daughter in my car and realized that my side mirror was completely broken almost all the way off. I did not file a police report because I did not know who did it. Then a week later my neighbor says he saw what happened the night before and got the guys information but the key is I would give him an estimate of the cost and the person who hit my car will pay it. So two months go by and still no money. Just recently the neighbor finally gave me the guys information. How will I go about getting my money from this guys because i need the law to come in hand. a.k.a I need to get the police or a lawyer or sue this person. Please help. thank you! Also, the guy was drunk when he hit the car with no insurance and might not have a license.
