transmission began to slip loudly.? I just need some understanding of any legal solution to just getting my trade-in back.

take it back cause you have the right to return it within 24 hours. when you go back DON'T tell them the transmission felt weird, just tell them you changed your mind cause you had a weird feeling about the car. If you do tell them it was the Transmission, then they can charge you fees or enforce lemon laws on you so you end up screwed.
