because then if it is not finished it would have to start by owners points. But your idea would mean that its only owners points for the top 35 (or 30 in NATIONWIDE) which i like

But NASCAR cares less about those start and park teams and small teams, they care about the big ones so that will be the reason why that probably wont happen.

Why don't they let the Go or Go Home cars qualify first?

Why don't they let the Go or Go Home cars qualify first?

I'm watching Nationwide Series qualifying and it just started raining with two cars left to qualify. Now a few guys who had good qualifying runs might not be able to race. Why can't they just let the Go or Go Home guys qualify first when there is threatening weather? That way if qualifying gets rained out later, at least you can still put the Go or Go Home cars that qualified in the back of the field and lineup the guys who have guaranteed spots by owner points.
TJ S & Slim: I don't think you get what I'm saying. If all of the Go or Go Home cars qualify first then at least you have speeds for the guys that need to qualify to make the race. That way if it rains later on during qualifying then you lineup the Go or Go Home guys by speed in 31st-43rd (36th-43rd in Cup) and the top 30 (top 35 in Cup) are lined up by owner points.
