Spotify has purchased two new companies, one is called Soundwave which is a social music app that is used to create a profile of you based what music you listen to on Spotify and other music streaming services.
Soundwave allows users to follow each other, exchange music, chat and more, so would could see these features added to Spotify in the near future.
The second company is called Cord Project, this is a company which focuses on voice messages and their app is called Cord.
Cord is a mobile application that lets you send small voice messages to your friends and also groups of friends. Cord Project also has a number of other applications.
It is not clear as yet on exactly what the music streaming service plans to do with their latest acquisitions, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
