Nokia has rolled out a large update for HERE Maps, available from the Windows Phone Store. This update adds new features to LiveSight. In case you didn’t know, LiveSight uses Augmented Reality with HERE Maps to tell you more about your surroundings by using virtual signs.
Now you can pause the scene and browse on the screen without having to hold up your handset. First, you will have to do a 360 degree circle turn to capture all of the information. After that, you can look down at your phone to see what is around you. The update also allows you to pin LiveSight to your start screen. Pretty handy.
If you use public transit, HERE Maps will now allow you to tap on public transit stations to see what lines pass through that station too. Tap on one of the places of interest on your phone and get quick directions to that location whether you are driving or not. It’s a pretty nice update for users of HERE Maps.
