Things aren’t all bad in the jobs area. Amazon announced today that the company is creating 7,000 new jobs to expand its fulfillment network in the U.S. The hiring has already begun and these are pretty jobs. They are full time and pay 30 percent more than traditional retail jobs.

Employees will receive comprehensive benefits on day one. Benefits like company stock awards, 401(k) and healthcare. Not bad huh? Workers in the fulfillment network will do picking, packing and shipping of orders that Amazon receives every day, among other tasks.
Amazon is also hiring 2,000 people for customer service in the U.S. Full-time, part-time and seasonal positions. Employees will provide “world-class” customer service for Amazon’s customers.
