Then I went to send a text and it would just say "sending" and it wouldn't send. I tried to get online and I got an error message that said something along the line of "network down, try again later". It also wouldn't make calls. It would say "calling" but it would never connect to make the call.

Then about 4 or so hours later it just started working again.

I was just wondering if this was my phone or if other people had a similar problem today.

mms sending doesn't work.

I've spent a lot of time digging through the stock alltel 2.1 rom, and comparing things to the 2.2 rom. I created a custom /system/etc/apns-conf.xml file that causes a telephony.db to be created that is identical to the stock Alltel one. When I do this, mms just freezes at 'sending'. In checking the logcat output, there is not indication of why it's not sending, nor is there anything logged elsewhere. I've tried handcent, and also tried this topic at xda-developers.

With an altered apns-conf.xml I can get the messages to flip from 'sending' to 'sent', but they never go through.
