That doesn't mean that all you need is your CDL. Had you been stopped and asked for more, you would have had to produce more or you too would have been in handcuffs. Your experience doesn't trump the laws. but again, we find that there is much more to the story... This driver refused to show ANY ID at the weigh station and started being a smartass about his citizenship. That's why he was cuffed and taken to the ICE office and required to provide more documentation. BTW, he should lose his CDL for his little stunt.
