Quick Question - Bell Charged me for no install.

And what drive me insane about this part of your story, is that the Technicain gets paid ZERO, for driving to your Condo and trying to help you out.

It also means that somewhere, a customer has to wait another day for an installation because this Tech was booked for your call today.

God these people at Bell just do not get it.

Trust me the Diplexer will work. The problem is, Bell will not officially sanctions its' use and Rogers will remove it if they see one attached to a line from there strobe in the Cable Closet. I just found this out today. So it is a loose loose scenario, sadly.

If you still want the service, it looks like the only option is to move the internet to Bell as well, or another Company doing DSL in your area.

Quick Question - Bell Charged me for no install.

Oddly enough, the technician still came by as scheduled and he said that the use of a diplexer may or may not work because there is only one line to my suite and Bell would not like their service to depend on a diplexer (or something like that). But he also mentioned that because I only have one line to play hardball with Bell and ask for some kind of a deal to get me off Rogers internet and perhaps get some kind of internet and tv bundle with them for a better good price. I just want to watch the Toronto Raptors and was hoping for a basic + a couple of sports themes!

Quick Question - Bell Charged me for no install.

Well 57 I disagree on some level, yes when I originally signed up with Bell from my rental of one of my 9242`s I had to give them my cc, after that I pay by using the internet at my bank`s site. I also change my cc ever 3 years.
To many hassles can happen, you are right you can have the talk with the cc company but it is a hasssssle!!!! Not worth it for me.

Quick Question - Bell Charged me for no install.

I totally disagree. Firstly, payment is usually required before you get any service, therefore if you pay by cheque or cash, your money is with the provider and you need to get it back from the provider if you don't get your service.

With the Credit Card company you are always protected. If you don't get the service, the credit card company gives you the "refund" if you discuss it with them properly.

Same holds for almost any purchase. Try getting money back from an unscrupulous company if you've paid with cash or they've cashed your cheque. With a credit card you're protected. This also holds true for "automatic withdrawals".

There are far more problems when paying cash/cheque than with credit card.

Quick Question - Bell Charged me for no install.

Thanks for all your help, guys. I have phoned Bell and got my order cancelled. He said I should be credited for the $113, and if not I should call my credit card company just to make sure... he was very helpful. So, I guess now it's a wait and see thing, but I am feeling optimistic after my conversation with the rep.
