    Your fave FOREIGN LANGUAGE movie??

You could consider The Twilight Samurai if you want something with depth rather than action. Works as a personal story and a mirror on its time in Japanese history.

Two contrasting styles of FL movies I enjoyed this week: 'A Bittersweet Life: No Second Chances'(Korea) and Almodovars 'Volver' (Spain).

    Your fave FOREIGN LANGUAGE movie??

My absolute favourite has to be Bad Education with Gael Garcia Bernal. Amazing, tender movie about pain and love and abuse

    Your fave FOREIGN LANGUAGE movie??

    Betty Blue (directors cut)
    La Haine
    Un Coeur en Hiver
    L'Appartement
    Fateless

Jean De Flotette/Manon Des Sources ( the ending is probably the most heart wrenching Ive seen in a film, superbly acted throughout)

Plein Soleil (the original Talented Mr Ripley)
Abre Los Ojos (open Your Eyes)
The Three Colours Trilogy (Red being my Fave)
    The House Of Flying Daggers
    Closely Observed Trains
    Nikita
    The Tin Drum
    DownFall
    Va Savoir
    Amelie
    Old Boy
    Run Lola Run
    The Big Blue
    A Bout De Souffle
Baise-Moi (in a trashy kind of way)

If anyone could recommend a good film to get next, I prefer films that are nice and slow, diolouge based like Un Coeur en Hiver or Va Savoir
