BBS, Scotland is awesome. I've always loved England too, though.

Personally, I'm an extremely proud citizen in the land of the free, the home of the brave; %100 infidel and proud of it.

My family actually goes back in this country to the American Revolution. Pretty cool, we have a cemetary where my family is buried dating all the way back then.

    By injection... :xclown:

    OK, that was crass.

My stupid ex husband is Mexican. He never became a citizen, was just a foreign national. It's my son who has parents of two nations.

You'll never hear me apologizing for bashing the French. I've had the opportunity to visit there just after the second Gulf War started. I was hissed at while walking down the Champs d' Eleyses(sp?), watched anti-American demonstrations in a little podunk town in northern France, missed my connecting flight from DeGaulle because 1/2 of the air traffic controllers decided not to come to work that day...etc., and THEY were the fond memories of my trip.

Have you by any chance heard of the expression " freedom of speech" ?

Please don't go around infringing on other people's freedom of speech...your ideas of good manners may be different to others ...remember we are living in a world of globalization ...so respect differences and don't impose your ideas of manners on others. The internet is globalised.

For example , I took part in a german forum some time ago, and germans (two in particular !) not only did not say anything critical about their own country , they hurled insults and abuse at other posters who dared to say a single word (however mild) critical of germany. Their idea of 'good manners' was that if you post on a german forums, NOBODY should say nary a word against germany. They (the germans) were real bullies and they prowled the german forum for the sole purpose of intimidating other posters... one in particular took great delight in bashing the yanks.
