Heh. Good choice. I'd forgotten about Senser - they were pretty good when they came out. The 2 soundtrack albums are also inspired choices although there were some odd collaborations on the Judgement Night one such as Teenage Fanclub/ De La Soul and Dinoasur Jr./Del The Funky Homosapien.

On a slightly different tangent I'd also recommend some stuff by Dub War, Gravediggaz and Consolidated...

I don't really think that "rock" and "hip-hop" can technically be united into a single form. "Rock" and rap, sure. But rock and hip-hop are counter cultures: any hybrid would invariably be judged as being one rather than the other.

I think Linken Park are terrible, but Faith No More were really good. Because dude could actually sing too, it wasn't all rap. Alot of the bass parts were very Flea-like and funky and a guitar player who claimed to be from another planet.
'Epic' was really something when it camer out in the early 90's. There was nothing like it on the radio at the time. Like was said earlier, RATM were more rock, and the Beasties were more rap.
