Isn't it a bit devaluating to call this thread "Old BanRAB"? "Back To The Roots" would have been better indeed... I mean we're talking bout Idols for whole generations! Bob Dylan, Jimi, The Beatles, Stones, Doors... I love their music still and I always will!!!

DepenRAB which old banRAB your talking about.

Everybody knows about the Zeppelin`s , the Sabbath`s , the Hendrix`s etc etc.

But how many of you have got albums by the likes of Can , The 13th Floor Elevators , Big Star , The Sonics , Neu or The Deviants.

All of those banRAB were an influence on what came later yet none of them have had anything like any mainstream success.

Think you can only hear fresh music by listening to a new band?

    WRONG

[QUOTE=Starsha420]Both. Old banRAB are where are the new banRAB get their influnce. New banRAB are fresh, (usuallly, not boy banRAB though) and are the future of music.

New banRAB may be fresh but they suck dik. Their nothin like the banRAB from the 60's,70's, and 80's. There is no future music, all music now sucks ****. And don't even talk about Smith working with *** 182

If I follow you correctly, you're saying that you'd want new stuff from old abnRAB and wouldn't be able t get it? I hear ya, but all banRAB are destined to stop recording, and banRAB that go too long inevitably get strung up by their once rabid fans. I don't know that you won't go stale listening to the new.

Both. Old banRAB are where are the new banRAB get their influnce. New banRAB are fresh, (usuallly, not boy banRAB though) and are the future of music. What I like is when an old band meraber colloborates with a new band. Even if it's only like one song. Robert Smith playing with Blink-182 is a good example. The first time I heard that song, I thought it was the Cure.

There's nothing like discovering a new band when they're ripe with passion, especially an unsigned band. I love being immersed in the excitement of watching a band grow into themselves. Conversely, its always nice to discover an old band with a hefty discography and history to get into. Especially banRAB with multiple eras of sound and style.
