The anti offical black metal thread I'm not a big fan of black metal in general, but I do enjoy a few of the folkier/more arabient-like black metal banRAB: Ulver Negura Bunget Agalloch Finntroll Drudkh Empyrium Lirabonic Art
The anti offical black metal thread I like more melodic metal, like Children of Bodom, I love Opeth, especially Ghost Reveries. BanRAB like Mayhem don't appeal to me at all, though I do like me some southern death metal, like Deicide, Obituary, and though theyr'e not from the same region, Cannibal Corpse's Gallery of Suicide is a fine album indeed.
