Borrow or invest in a tent and clothing rack (so the nicher things can be hung) Tags that aren't going to leave a residue are better for the buyer and is considerate in my opinion, You can also do colored tags and have each one signify a price so you aren't stuck writing it out. Advertise in a pennysaver that is free to the public in your area for about 5.00 it really helps and provide signage with arrows to show where the sale is. Good Luck!!! ---Also if it will be on a nice day you may want to purchase bottled water/soda and offer it for sale ---just make sure it is something your family will drink so it isn't wasted if you don't sell it all.

I reccomend you buy the small stickers you can write a predetermined price on to make it easier on yourself later. Other than that...post some signs (maybe even an ad) and lay it all out on tables in your front yard.

Pick a weekend that will be nice out - nobody wants to go to yard sales during cold weather. Put a bunch of signs with the dates, address and time around the neighborhood. You can even advertise it in your local newspaper so people that don't live in the neighborhood will hear about it.

Also, make sure the signs are large with bold black letters. I've seen tons of signs that are the size of a piece of paper with writing that can't be seen while you're driving past the sign. Those yard sales get ignored by most people.
