Sit Down, Shut Up, and that show actually improved a lot as it went on. Comedy Central runs the show on occassion, along with Mike Judge's 'The Goode Family'.

    Bob's Burgers - "Sacred Cow" - Talkback [1/23]

I missed the Pilot. This episode was pretty good but I liked the 2nd episode where he was trapped in the wall much more.

I got to say I'm really liking this show. I don't think it's quite found it's niche yet but I think it has WAY more potential than a lot of the other cartoons they've tried on Fox recently. I don't even remember what last years flop was called (the one with the photographed backgrounds) but I just remembered that it did nothing for me.

I think what's really working for me is how fresh the Characters are. To me all the characters on the Simpsons have become cliche's of themselves at this point, and most of the characters on the Seth MAcFarlane started out as Cliche's. It's nice to see original characters voiced by good comedians who know how to sell a line. I really hope Fox keeps this show around long enough for it to find it's groove,

I actually thought this was by far the best of the 3 episodes. I don't think the writing is too "hip" or anything like that, I can't really see why anyone would think that but if that's what you see, sorry. I think the closest comparison to the writing style is Home Movies, for obvious reasons, but I'm not just saying that because I knew going in who was involved. I think anyone who liked Home Movies and it's unique brand of dialogue should like this show too. It's character-based and just crude enough without being obnoxious, and just topical enough (the filmmaker was obviously a Michael Moore parody) without being lazy or self-indulgent. The voice work is the biggest strength though, again for obvious reasons. While everyone already loves Jon Benjamen, I really like Eugene Mirman (pretty funny stand-up comic, plays Yvgeny Mirminsky on Delocated, showed up occasionally as Eugene in Home Movies) as the son (Gene). My favorite though has to be Kristen Schaal as Louise (the younger daughter). She's easily the funniest character on the show and maybe one of the funniest of the Sunday night block.

This was also the first time I found myself saying "I really hope Fox gives this show a real chance", even though it hurts me to say that since it probably would mean the end of American Dad (god I wish they'd just get rid of the Cleveland Show).

One of the things I plan on asking Jon Benjamin tomorrow night is if he's had the Fatburger THANKS A BRUNCH BURGER yet.

Fatburger is running a Bob's Burger promotion right now.

This episode was my introduction to the show, and I have to say it's pretty funny. Some of the jokes are too forced, but I like the characters.

    7/10

Hopefully, the show sticks around for a while before FOX finds a way to kill it.

    Well, so far anyway.

My favorite episode was the Pilot. I thought that and the second one was pretty good, but this one was just horrible.

Worst episode ever?? Wasn't there only three episodes so far
Any who, I finally saw an episode since I was watching The Simpsons I figured why not. I kind of found it ok, laughed a few times here and there, wasn't as bad as some make it out to be, than again not every one has the same taste in shows.

I don't know what it is with many of today's TV writers. It's like there's a trend where writers like hearing themselves talk, such that the dialogue comes out too self-consciously "hip" and eager to please. Do they really teach young writers to write like this now?

This isn't a "bad" show but it doesn't distinquish itself, IMO, from any of the other "I'm a hip comedy show" wannabes.

Well I finally saw this show after accidently missing the first 2 episodes.

It was OK, but I feel less than satisfied after watching it. It wasn't really that funny. I think I laughed a little once. Also, most of the characters are more annoying to me than funny. I pretty much watched to the end to just to see what would happen.

It's an OK show and I don't hate it, but I probably won't go out of my way to watch it.

I'm wondering what the ratings of this one will be without a new Family Guy episode as incentive to stick around after The Simpsons.
