Is a Toyota factory warranty void if the car was used as a rental vehicle?

I have heard that some manufacturers will not honor the factory powertrain warranty for the full term (in the case of Toyota, 60 months/60,000 miles) if the vehicle was used as a rental vehicle. Does this apply to Toyotas? I looked through a Toyota warranty and maintenance booklet, but I could not find any reference to it. I'm thinking about buying a Corolla with 36,xxx miles that was used as a rental vehicle, and would like to know if the remaining powertrain warranty will transfer to me, or if the warranty has been voided. Thanks to all in advance, will award best answer.
