2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse immediately dies on gas pedal? My boyfriend has a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, manual trans. The car will cut on and stay running in park, and you can put it into Drive, where it will idle and slowly creep. As soon as you hit the accelerator, however, the car IMMEDIATELY shuts off. We put my OBD2 on it and a TPS [throttle positioning sensor] error showed. Replaced that. Nothing new. Any ideas would be great.
