    Faye.

Does age matter on a car if it has good mileage? (2001 Mazda Protege)?

The car is a white 2001 Mazda Protege, but the mileage is just under 50,000. I've negotiated the price down to $7,500. What do you think? Is this a good deal?

And does the year/age of the car really matter? We were told the car was driven by an older lady, and she barely drove. Which is why the mileage is so low. According to the carfax, she also kept it very maintained.
