My i7 2600K doesn't overclock past 4.2ghz.? Hey guys. My proccesor used to be at 3.4ghz but then i bought a new motherboard and CPU fan (arctic silver 5) so that i can overclock. When i entered the bios i entered 4.6ghz and entered all the neccesary volts that i would need etc... But when i press exit the page the multipliers do back to 42. I installed the intel overclocking tool and when i do the overclock from there i set the "max turbo boost ratio" to 46 (which is the max i can get it to but then it turns orange and yelow and i don't want to damage my computer. Do anyone know why i cant overclock to 4.6? My CPU core tempature is around 34-38c when not gaming and when i did a stress test (for 1 minute) it went up to 68c and when i did the test the proccesor frequency was at 3.86ghz and not 4.2ghz so im kinda lost.
