    Yes, you can. You apply to colleges usually sometime between Sept-Dec (for this 2010-2011 FAFSA year, you apply for colleges in 2009). Then FAFSA opens up January 1st, 2010. Once you and your parents get their tax returns, you can file FAFSA at FAFSA.ED.GOV If you are confused at all, contact FAFSA, your high school guidance counselor (if you are in hs) or your colleges' that you are applying to. They can all help.

    Some schools have deadlines for Financial Aid; ask your school if they have one. Some say by February 1st or 15th (sometimes meaning you have to use lat year's taxes -ONLY if they are extremely similar and no one gained/lost a job/income, etc.) and then you can go back a correct it later online.

    Can I apply for financial aid even if I haven't gotten accepted to college?

    everybody has been telling me that i need to hurry up and apply for financial aid but i dont know if i can because i haven't gotten accepted to college yet
