Link says they will be offering (svod) subscription video on demand. You pay a monthly fee for an all you can eat from our menu aspect .Its my understanding this technology is available.

Kudos to Bev for being first to pick it up and share it amongst paying and non paying subs.

But does this small feat really make up for the late or many still missing channels carried by most others?

    I think not.

    Enjoy!

The "special promotional period", i.e. free preview, is "from November 2 to 22." That's pretty short compared to other channel launches. There is no official pricing info either. I also haven't seen enough premium programming content to warrant a price as high as TMN or MC. The only show I'm interested in is "The Closer", hopefully in HD. I can't see myself paying much for just that, especially since the series ended several weeks ago on US TV.

No VOD from Bell ExpressVu and their Super Channel launch. Satellite technology is not equipped to deliver On Demand programming.

In the warped minds of Express Vu, it could be that they consider it to be true "On Demand", lets face it they are telling everyone they have "Full HD"......

No. it's not an "On Demand" service. Dish segments a portion of your hard drive and then downloads a handful of titles which are unlocked when you pay for them. You've only got 25 hrs HD so far; do you want to give back 10 hrs to Bell so they can sell you more stuff? Is it worth it for 5 or 6 movies to lose YOUR recording space?

That's not "On Demand". Having a choices of hundreds or thousands of titles is what On Demand is all about.

Suprchannel has little/no HBO or Showtime shows, most of them will still be with TMN.

Superchannel's programming mainly comes from overseas or from other US cable channels like USA Network
