Why make us order Rush, Equator and A&E HD?

JB1 have you called Express Vu recently about anything? If yes, the agent probably did, as I always do the change from the old HD value pack to the new one

If not there might be a free preview on, can not say for sure as i'm on vacation!

Or maybe the compagny decided to automatically make the switch for all clients (which would be nice!)

Sportsfan, just to clarify, I have the "old HD pack", these channels always showed up 'red' in my guide (meaning I could not get them), I never called to ask to get them, and now I have them. You interpreted my original post correctly.

The free preview applied to all clients with HD receivers. Clients that had the HD Value Pack continued to receive the channels after the free preview, exempt those with the old HD pack or Legacy programming package. Those with the old Value pack simply had to call for us to make the switch and those with Legacy package had to switch to Genesis

Did they switch these channels on for everyone with the HD pack? I caved in and added them a month ago, but I saw this on another thread.

I also noticed that 807, where they were showing the promotional reel encouraging people to order these channels, is gone.

Why make us order Rush, Equator and A&E HD?

Woo Hoo, what a waste of B/W!
CMON, we all know the HF channels are just regurgitated VOOM originals.
I watched them for 6 months on my Voom DSR550 until they went boom.
Now they live on in satellite heaven for Dishnet subs, all 21 or so of them.

The WOW prevue is over, HD is almost mainstream, repackage them exactly as Sensual Poet has repeatedly suggested and get some new content.

Far be it for me to argue Bell's case. But it sure seems to me that ALL the High Fidelity channels were announced as limited free previews; Treasure and Oasis expired from this status some time ago; Rush and Equator, apparently, last to Nov 30th.

So what's wrong with combining these into TWO channels with less repeats (or is 75% a month part of th convenience?), but all the same programming? Hands up anyone who has seen something made in 2007 that has appeared on any of these channels? The programming is, 90% or more, static, timeless stuff with a LOOOONG shelf life. Faberg

To clarify: the four HiFidelity channels are only carried by Bell ExpressVu. The CRTC opened the door; Bell made the channels possible. They even let HF use Bell facilities to package the programming. Without Bell, HF channels would be not exist. The CRTC licenses lots of channels that never make it to air.

(A couple of tiny other providers also now carry HF channels -- with a combined net HD sub audience of under 10,000.)

MrGrinch is correct. The "free preview" only really applied to customers with the legacy HD package. Equator and Rush were cut off for them as were A&E and HDNet at a later date. I got them back when I switched to the new packages. I also lost Sportsnet HD and Raptors HD. Go figure.

wrt to the title, they activated/unlocked these channels for me yesterday, with no prompt. But now I'm missing CBCHD 802? wtf are these clowns up to? Can't they get anything right, aside from making sure I receive and pay my bill evey month?
