Rinehart 4 inch slip ons on the way! I'm loving the sound and have no problem in that area, at cruise they're not as loud as my FC. Going through the gears they're probably as loud as my FC but the tone is much more pleasing. I had both a Rinehart 2-1 and V&H True Duals with Rush mufflers. The true dual setup was gone inside of 3 weeks as the exhaust pulses just seemed to constanly be hammering my head plus I most definitely lost some bottom end. So far this setup seems to be the best of both worlds and they look SWEEEET. Rick

Rinehart 4 inch slip ons on the way! Be prepared for noise. The new Rineharts look great however, along with power comes noise. Several months ago, I purchased Rinehart black True Dual for my 2004 Ultra. The exhaust looked great and I got alot of compliments on them. Now the motor had been reworked, with 96' S$S jugs w/9.75 pistons, Mackey Cams, P/P heads, gear drive cams. With the Rineharts, the motor dyno'd at 100 HP. The Rineharts were to loud fo rme.. To quiet the pipes down, I thought I would pull out the baffels and wrap them with baffel wrap. Ther in lies the problem. To get the baffels out rquired takeing off the mufflers, putting them in a vise and using a hammer and a punch and a lot of WD40 to beat them out. When I called the new manufacturer, I was told the reason the baffels are thight was to prevent them for ratteling. Prior to buying the new exhausts, I was running a Rinehart 2:1. To remove the baffle require taking off the endcap and pulling the baffel out with pillars. If the pipes are to loud, and you want to change to a quieter baffel be prepared. Note: I am not saying anything bad about the new Rineharts exhaust. Mine looked great and did what they said they would do, produce power.
Rinehart 4 inch slip ons on the way! Received the new 4" Rineharts from FM yesterday and promptly got busy installing them. I much prefer the sound to the FC and love the looks. The performance is close to if not equal to the FC, no dyno proof just SOTP. Rick
Rinehart 4 inch slip ons on the way! Well I guess I'm pussying out, I just ordered a set from FM. I did like the performance of the FC but not so much the sound. I guess it must not have been too bad as I ran them for close to 3 years and that's a record for me, but being a bit of an exhaustaholic sooner or later I was bound to fall off the wagon. I wanted to return to the 2 pipe look for now and maybe a little quieter but the muffs I'm running now are a bit too tame for me and maybe it's just perception but it seems like I lost a bit of ooomph. If I'm lucky I'll have them in time to install on Saturday Rick
