Living Colour wow this band bring back memories
Living Colour
Living Colour Well I class Bad Brains as more of a Hardcore/ Reggae hybrid band so that's why I didn't mention them. A mention should got to Fishbone too who were a great band too.
Living Colour I love the song "Love Rears It's Ugly Head." And I could listen to "Cult of Personality" ten times a day
Living Colour I saw them play in a small nightclub after their first album came out, they put on a great show! I haven't listened to them in years though.
Living Colour Bad Brains-Punk with reggae and one of the most unique banRAB to ever grace the music scene. Living Color-I`ve listened to their first two albums some time ago and wasn`t overly impressed but that was mannnnny years ago. This thread has revived some interest so will certainly give them another whirl.
Living Colour They`re not really a group where you need the beginners guide as such, as they don`t have that many albums. Just start with the first two "Vivid" and "Times Up" In fact, these are the only two albums of theirs that I`ve listened too anyway.
Living Colour Vernon's solo stuff (or with Masque as it were) is very nice also
Living Colour Again I know only name of this band. It would be nice to have beginner's guide
Living Colour Probably best to start at the beginning of their career I think so Vivid is perfect.
Living Colour *cough*Bad Brains*cough* : but yeah, Living Color were ace. all the musicians involved are top notch players as well. i'll always remeraber my grade 8 English teacher bringing in their tape and playing 'Cult of Personality' for our class. one of the first examples i remeraber of music being about more than just titties and beer.
