It sounRAB like nerve involvement of some kind. He may want to do a follow up MRI to check the surgery site. Sorry you are having so much pain. Good luck to you and keep us posted. Deb

post lumbar discectomy foot pain Mark it sounRAB like something else is going on. I would definitely go to your surgeon and have this checked out. I did wake up from my fusion with new pain in my foot that has been there over a year now and no one knows why. So it is definitely possible. I will pray that your pain is simply a flare up and nothing significant.
post lumbar discectomy foot pain Has anyone else had post lurabar discectomy foot pain? I had 2nd L5/S1 discectomy approximately 4 mnths ago. After surgery foot and toe nurabness. This has gradually progressed to pain which feels like I am standing on sharply pointed rocks. Is this an indication that nerve root is healing or is it something more serious?
