When people think that there are TWO tuths - Christian and Islam being the two, there will be disagreeing, however with Budhism, we all know it's bollocks, no one fights over it. lol

Um, do you know how many wars have been fought over the tooth said to be Buddha's (now located in the Temple of the Tooth in Sri Lanka)? Also, many of the samurai were buddhist. They didn't stop killing people until a Christian country invaded and made them settle down. Now Japan is peaceful.

Was just seeing the present moment where they are not the source of today's problems. @ross and handbasket: Of course you are correct, just not seeing that today. To be honest, I asked a more intelligent and profound question but nobody paid any attention to it. So I just threw out this obviously simpilistic and stereotyped baloney because that is the only way I can get a response! LOL! @everard: No, not too much, but I favor them over western religions. I like their open ideology, and am inspired more from zen than from western religions, but really am not religious in any institutional framework, I feel it has to come from within. They have all had their wars.

These are really broad generalizations. There is more than one form of Buddhism. I will say that self immolation is not the same as killing others.
