Topic Review (Newest First)

The bokeh (out of focus lights) is really the only interesting part of the photo.
It's a nice photo, though! It's just not emotionally challenging or anything. I really do like the photo though.

It's really good I love the scrap pieces of pencil coming out( if that made any sense)

It is a close up picture of a pencil... I really don't understand modern art or photography or w/e, maybe it is good. I really have no clue. I like the colours if that mean it's good?

    Thanks for the points.

Sorry, but it screams amateur who is not in control of the camera. It is underexposed because the flash, (in auto), has tried to expose the white tablecloth for middle grey. You need to understand how exposure works in conjunction with middle grey and how you need to take control of the camera to produce a proper photo. Though post processing is no substitute for a proper photo in the camera, if this was shot in RAW, it could be easily saved with a slight raising of the exposure value. Even the JPEG photo as it is could be improved by masking out the pencil and raising the levels in the remainder of the photo.

It's colorful, uses different shapes and sizes, and has different levels of focus. The colors are bold, primary colors.
You don't say what the theme of the contest is. If these are involved, then you have a good shot I think.
Now give me feedback on mine!

it is fine, but the use of flash is obvious with the shadow

It is a bad snapshot of a pencil using a harsh direct flash. There is nothing good or creative about it.
