Can I do gloss over normal paint? I recently bought a large wooden cabinet and a week ago I thoroughly washed is and let it dry completely. Today I started painting it white and it wasn't until the paint dried that I realised the hardware store had given me normal paint instead of gloss paint. It obviously still needs another coat to completely cover the wood, but what do I do now? Do I do another coat of white then gloss? Or do I buy some gloss and just do the next coat with that? Also, do I need to do anything else before I do a gloss layer? Thanks!
