If you do not know "What Tools" you would need, you cannot possibly have any knowledge of carpentry, get the "know how" first, then the tools. Lil sis won't mind waiting a lil longer
Just a thought but if it's not going to be used permanently How about an inflatable mattress ? It would mean it could be inflated when required and deflated at other times to give more playing space.
