The CX-7 is an all around better vehicle.

What car would be best, Chrysler 300 or Mazda CX-7?

I want a nice, roomy car with good safety ratings and great mileage. I have always wanted the 300 but now I have a son and need space for carseat, stroller, groceries, etc. And which one gets better gas mileage? I only live less than 2miles from where I work and don't go any further than 20miles from where i live. But I do want to take it out to California about twice a year. And, if those are no good, what would be a better crossover car to get?
    Any answers are appreciated.
    Thanks.
