    Paleoglaciation - ancient glacier records recorded as topography and geologic deposits
    Paleomagnetism - old magnetic records recorded in rocks

    Magma - hot rock containing gases and fluids, beneath the ground and under great pressure
    Lava - hot rock which has expelled some of its gas during an eruption, which is now on the surface and no longer under pressure
