i bought a used car from private seller what r my rights (uk)? bought a second hand car from a private seller ,he stated that the only thing wrong with car (as far as he was aware) was the ac didnt get very cold and the heated seats did not work . which i accepted as the fault and bought the car . i have had an indipendant garage inspect the car which states the turbo is caput ,along with various oil leaks and other bits and bobs. i have been in touch with the seller and he states it was sold as seen and he was not aware of any faults other then ones stated. he has had it serviced at the main dealers in oct 09 which he keeps pointing out to me that they did not pick up on any of the faults that the indipent garage had diagnosed. were do i stand legally ..???? whats the best way to go about sorting the problem out??? by his manner and body language its going to be very difficult for him to admit any faults excistied when he sold the car ??? any advice???
