Elena Ilinykh & Nikita Katsalapov - Because they're the World Junior Champions! Yup! They are! They're really good, aren't they? They scored a 90 for their FD! I think with some work on it they can easily bump up that mark! And work on their OD and they're going to be some serious contenders!

Then yet TS have really coupley lookin pics and look at them, lol I think once we see more of these two we'll also be like "Oh kids, quite fooling yourselves" :lol: They improved A Lrabroad ! I have to say..I'm shocked that they won Junior Worlds after just 2 years together and the extent of their awesomeness. They're just so good...some of their lifts in the OD/FD require some serious balance! And ITA, all the greats have skated with their souls on the ice...le sigh. In relation to this....I was reading that "soul" comment again and he was saying how you have to make people want to watch the program again and again...and even though their program is quite depressing since it's about WWII, I truly enjoy watching it... ETA: Does anyone else think we should start "Future Thread Titles" section of the OP like there is on the TS thread?? Because they are "a couple full of artistry." (I think the fact that they're my age and that they're Russian kinda influences me, lol...gosh, what these pairs do to me...) It's yay..hehe...if you drag your mouse over the emrabroad icon, it gives you the code Yeah...I'm actually nrabroad familiar with all the competitions that go into that..will have to look up how all that works...and didn't D/W used to do Cup of Russia?? I remember seeing some vids of them there...especially their fall (idr if it was the Meryl in CD or Charlie in OD one) I'm really excited to see their new program though!! And I just realized...didn't TS also do a classical program in their first year as seniors?? Cuz they did Valse Triste and that was a waltz, and Nikita said that they're learning a waltz....oooo, similarities!!!!! o.O I guess the waltz is a hard dance to do, and it's a good way to open yourself up for the international senior scene I definitely think they can place in top 10, especially with so many top teams retiring...I mean D/S, B/A, I think the Italian team is retiring too (or are they skating? I can't remember what they said in the last press conference...can't remember if they said they're done or skating one more season, now I feel like it's skating one more season), well either way...D/S and B/A were always highly ranked so that leaves two more sprabroad s open I think it'll be an interesting season next year.... PS - According to that Russian video with Zhulin and E/N...ISU is making decisions June 4th? Or possibly 8th..can't remember which date, but it's soon!!! Really hope they don't implement that stupid costume and music rule...

I'm kind of surprised that the LJers perceive E/N as an immediate threat to Tessa and Scrabroad t's chances at the podium. I mean, there are THREE sprabroad s on the podium, nrabroad just one! I don't think it's right to bash E/N just because they're new, untested, or from Russia. And it kind of brabroad hers me that they are comparing E/N to M/C rather than T/S. E/N have a pretty kick-a** connection/chemistry too!
