Why Englishspeakers get "ei" and "ie" mixed up so much when writing German words?

I see on the forum they type German words and ALWAYS get the "ie" and "ei" mixed up. Like they put "nien" instead of "nein" or "weiner" instead of "wiener". Why so hard they make consistent sound not like English spellings lol.
