Had to reformat computer and now have iPad sync problem. How to fix this?

Not sure how to proceed. Computer got virus last month and had to completely reformat computer from Vista to Windows7. Had to reinstall everything and now when I went to sync my iPad, iTunes told me I was not authorized on this (reformatted) computer. Did not have a back up of iTunes. I re-authorized this computer to make it valid but if I sync my iPad with it, it looks like I will lose everything. Does anyone know how to get around this without losing ALL my data?? I have DiskAid but don't how best to use it (just got it and am thinking it will only work for my music which I have little of - more concerned about my data). If you know what to do/how to solve this problem, please help. Thanks in advance.
