Are the bottles used for Nivea for Men's After Shave balms ceramic or glass? And are they recyclable?

I've been looking all over the place trying to discern whether the white bottles used for Nivea's Line of After Shave balms are white ceramic, or thick white opaque glass. I checked the companies' website and I've look around on the web a bit. Aside from some off-handed comments made by reviewers, there's virtually no mention as to the material of the bottle. It's a little important because my city's recycling program sucks, but it can take a bottle akin to a beer bottle just fine. If it's ceramic, then I'll just have to chuck it, unless I find someone interested in using them in art or something. BTW, the reason I mention the beer bottle thing is that my only clue is that there's a number and a symbol imprinted into the bottom of the bottle. From what I read, beer bottles have similar numbers on the bottom, in order to identify the mold from which the bottle was formed during the packaging process. So, any guesses?
