Early History of Beautility
Beautility Furniture Ltd was based in Edmonton. Established in 1894, the company moved out from Bethnal Green to Edmonton in the 1930s, looking for cheaper premises. Due to access to the River Lee Navigation, timber could be transported by barge from London Docks and stored in riverside wharves. Consequently furniture makers including Nathan's, Beautility and Homeworthy had factories here. In 1958, Beautility had a showroom on Oxford Street.
anyone know where to find information on beautility antique furniture? I inherited a buffet from my Mom recently that she adored. I know its very old and I would like to find out information on the maker but I cant find anything on the internet. Not anything! Anyone know ANY history on beautility furniture? The buffet plaque says "beautility REGD. Dining Room Furniture" Thanks for any info you can give!!!
