Yes, you can insert other network and if it does not support then the phone is network locked. To unlock, I suggest you can approach Unlocking4u.com and specify the country,locked network of iPhone.Based on the availability you can get the permanent unlock service along with free instructions.

It will obviously be locked to T-Mobile. Only the ones from Apple themselves are unlocked.

whoever you sell the mobile phone to will have to get the mobile phone unlocked and they will know that its locked because a message will come up saying insert sim when they put a sim card in thats not on t mobile so they will need to go a mobile phone shop that unlocks mobile phones

Not likely it will be unlocked to any network and will cost you quite a bit to get it unlocked. try putting a non t-mobile sim in your phone and if it don't work you will know that ist locked to t-mobile

T-mobile iPhone 4 upgrade, will it be unlocked to any network?

I have just received a free iphone 4 as an upgrade on my t-mobile contract. I need the money so have decided to sell it on. However, I am not sure if it is unlocked to any network or locked to t-mobile. Which one is likely? How would I know?
