What are the best options for writing and saving documents between multiple devices?

I write novels, and I've tried several different types of writing software. I mostly use Liquid Story Binder, but I think they all have bonuses and detractions.

My problem comes in that I write on a number of different devices. I have a desktop, a netbook, an iPhone, and a Kindle Fire. I probably use the Fire the least for writing, but I take a lot of notes on my iPhone, and I use both the desktop and netbook quite a bit.

I've tried Evernote, and it's been a bit laggy, as well as not being a fan of their interface at all. Ever since the privacy scandal, I avoid Google as much as possible. I have no problem using Dropbox or a flash drive, but Liquid Story Binder, while kinda awesome for giving me the feel of the book, is really annoying about saving and exporting, and it's also slow on my netbook.

Anyone have suggestions for writing on multiple devices? Software you find useful? iPhone apps that are really great for notetaking and exporting those notes?
