Would you check my question about English expressions?

I have to find a wrong expression.

She usually works until lately. Her mom is visiting her uncle in NY today.

=> I think "lately" should be "late."
My question is..if I write "she has usually worked until lately", is it grammatically correct?
I mean "until lately" itself is not wrong, but in the context, it sounds wrong.
So I want to know how "until lately" can be used correctly.
