Why does my dog rub against me and whine? start with this my dog is a 63 pound Pit bull Mix. My dog has done this since he was a baby and it's getting tiring he wakes me up by rubbing his face on mine then sticking the top of his head on my throat then rubbing he basically moves down my body doing that then he comes back up to my face and starts rubbing his face against mine until I wake up then gets mad at me if I don't rub my face back against his .The hole time this is happening hes whining and growling at me not in a viscous way he's wagging his tail the entire time. If I still don't get up he lays on my stomach and digs his sharp elbows into my collar bone growling whining and licking me till I get up . Then as soon as I get up he just walks away and goes to sleep on his bed.
