    Mad Men.

Agree. Rachel isn't the sort of woman to give herself lightly, unlike a certain secretary. Don had nothing but got the American dream for himself, the job, wife, house, children, complete lifestyle. I think he loves Betty but she doesn't engage his heart or soul. If he continues to see Rachel I think it will become a serious relationship for him, possibly for the first time in his life. There's no doubt that Rachel is in love with him.

I felt the same way at the end of the episode: stunned and amazed. It knocked me off my feet. I had a dream last night about it.

Joan's husband gives me the creeps. I got even more creeped out by the look on his face when he told Joan he had joined the army and now he could be a surgeon- he reminded me of Jeffrey MacDonald (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_MacDonald). I remember from the book Fatal Vision that MacDonald built up an image of himself as Mr. Golden boy, Mr. Perfect Doctor, who joined the army (during Vietnam, and after his wife had their second child) because he wanted action like the Green Berets. Joan's Doctor Husband has already raped Joan, I hope he doesn't end up attacking her

There is/was no Tory Party in the States. The swinging 60's was triggered by the Beatles. Once Beatlemania hit the States in 1964 when they underwent their first American tour, everything started to change, particularly fashion and attitudes amongst the under 30s.

    Mad Men.

I've just watched this - on the red carpet with Amazon! http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Men-Season...1315380&sr=8-1

It was fun to see everyone dressed up in their today clothes and to learn how they're not allowed to smoke real cigarettes on set.

I think I'm going to have to buy the DVD!

I Love Mad Men the attention to detail is phenomenal. It reminRAB me of a detective show that is occassionally on BBC - I've totally forgotten what it's called!

And Christina Hendricks is hot .

    Mad Men.

Absolutley great news. Mad Men is one of the only US imports I watch at UK pace simply because I can watch in HD with no adRAB.

Can't wait for the 8th now!!!
