cooling fans 1995 mercury sable? i have a 1995 mercury sable 3.8 motor v6....my cooling fans do not kick on, when the tempature starts to creep up they kick on for maybe just a minute then shut back off, thus resulting in the car getting really hot. i have replaced the main module by the radiator and i have replace the cooling tempature sensor.....i am stumped i no the fans work i just bought 2 new cooling sensors because i thought maybe the first one was bad. i put on a new cooling sensor and the same problem continues.....however when i unplug the cooling sensor my check engine light comes on and the fans work great.....but roughly a 40 mile drive and the car completly shuts down as if i turned the ignition off.....i no the main relay module works the fans, the fuel pump, and the clutch fan,....please help any ideas.
