Is a harley davidson sportster 883 a good starter bike? I have looked at vstar 650s, shadow 600s and 750s, boulevard c50s, and i much prefer the harley 883. buying used i have found all of these bikes in my price range, so it depends on the best built for me i am 18 years old and have 5 years experience with dirt bikes and quads, and have never been on a street legal bike.. i am 5ft 9 180lbs, i dont feel that any of the bikes will be to heavy.. the main things i am looking for is easy maintenance, reliability, highway cruising, and inexpensive cost of ownership, any comments on these bikes will be appreciated.
