Once a phone is unlocked, you can swap it with any GSM network. It will work properly. I suggest you can approach Unlock-zone.com and specify the country,locked network of Blackberry Bold 9700.Based on the availability you can get the permanent unlock service along with free instructions.
Unlocking phone help? My mom just got the new Blackberry Bold 9330, upgrading from the Bold 9700. My dad, brother and I are on Rogers, while my mom is on Bell, and I want to get her old phone instead of the Blackberry Curve that i have. I would have to unlock it to be able to use it with my SIM card, and i was wondering, if something happened to my mom's new phone, would she be able to use her old phone even after it was unlocked? Or would it stop working on Bell if I unlocked it to be used on my Rogers phone line?
