    Yeah that would change everything if you got a new dsl service. Router wouldn't do anything. Sounds like you did something against the law.

    Having a new dsl service will undoubtly change all that information. New computer will not, router will not.

    Question regarding MAC, NIC, and IP address..please help?

    Ok..just want to know..if I get a new Laptop and a new router, along with a new dsl service, will that change my MAC, NIC and IP address from what I originally have on my desktop ??

    If I connect my laptop using my router..there's no way for anyone to find out my NIC address of my desktop computer or link the 2 computers or anything right ?

    I know that this may not sound very clear and informative, but please let me know what you can...
