I also have this exact problem. I've been surfing the web trying to find similar situations and have not really turned up any solutions. I have see stuff about capacitors going bad but the symptoms described in those posts are slightly different the ours. It seems like its taking longer and longer to turn my screen on. I have to push the button well over 10 times now in intervals of 5 seconds. So that's like a minute of power button pressing. I would like to fix this. I wonder if leaving it in sleep mode was bad for the screen. Any thoughts?

    Hi Daniel T!

I have the very same problem and after googling for a while it seems a lot of samsung t220hd users have problems turning the thing on.

I can only hope you found a solution, cause I found none so far but to get it repaired at the store...

Untill then just keep training that thumb of yours!

Samsung T220 HD power on problem?

it works fine for a whole year
then all the sudden, every time i try to turn it on, the power led light flash then just goes off and doesn't turn on. i had to sit there and continuously press power button over and over for over 10 minutes then it turns on.

now every time i go and turn it off and turn it back on right away it's fine
but if i leave it off for over 5 minutes, i have to go through the whole process of raging over the power button, watching the light flash a kazillion times before the screen comes on. It is taking longer and longer each time now, soo i don't i just leave it on now. my warranty is already over soo any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
