how do I tell my parents I need to see a doctor? I have been having a persistent pain in my right side waist for the past 3 weeks. It's very mild and it's a burning pain. Sometimes the pain moves to under my lower right rib, to my back, to my belly button, or to my groin. I can live with it, but it is very annoying, and it has not gotten worse. It actually stopped for a about 5 days after I drank tons of water. I thought it was just constipation ,but I have been doing some reading that leads me to believe it may be appendicitis, an ulcer, or even cancer. I know this is something I need to get looked at ASAP because it could be life threatening, but I am also very reluctant to break this type of news to my parents because I feel it would break some sort of integrity I built up by never having been in the hospital since birth. I'm frightened, confused and a bit lost. I need guidance for my next steps!
